First full island survey

With limited resources we can’t patrol all the beaches every day, but once a week we go to every possible nesting beach on the island.  This will be the first time that a full census has been undertaken on Sal and should give us a true idea of the size of the nesting population.  On this patol we didn’t find any nests unfortunately, but we did find a sad reminder of why we need to protect the beaches in the form of many shells from last season.
